Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy
$hourly — Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy consists of a wide range of therapeutic modalities that can help children, teens, adults of all ages process traumatic experiences. Trauma-Focused therapies can vary in length and are based on the clients goals. Traditionally, psychotherapy is delivered in 1-on-1 meetings between the client and the therapist. This format offers privacy and individual attention. Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy
$hourly — Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a non-drug, non-hypnosis psychotherapy procedure that can be used with children, teens and adults of all ages. The therapist guides the client in concentrating on a troubling memory or emotion while moving the eyes rapidly back and forth (i.e. following the therapist's prompt). This rapid eye movement, which occurs naturally during dreaming, helps to change the negative belief associated with an emotion or a stressful or traumatic memory. Evidenced-based research has proven that it helps speed the client's movement through the healing process. EMDR is used to treat troubling symptoms such as anxiety, depression, guilt, anger, and post-traumatic reactions. It can also be used to enhance emotional resources such as confidence and self-esteem.
